Happy Memories

Many, many happy memories growing up with Aidan….. playing tennis, squash, football, cricket, cycling and even rugby! I’ll always remember the St Bernard’s Ambleside residential trip and adding words to the ‘Apache’ tune at meal times with big grins on our faces! I’ll also remember the summer cycle rides around Winter Hill whilst singing football tunes on the downhill sections or just trying to score a goal past Aidan when he had his gloves on! Aidan was a good friend who was always fun to be with but also thoughtful, kind and enthusiastic about lots and lots of things. I remember so many fun times whether it was just playing chess and ZX Spectrum games or playing in the woods on a Saturday morning… they were always happy times. They seem like little things now but were really important to us at the time… things like sharing a trip on a dark and stormy night when Aidan got his first car….. just lasting memories of enjoying special times together. Later on in life we met for the occasional meal and drink and talked about many things including running, something we both loved, religion and even the possibility of working together! So many good memories from happy days gone by. My thoughts and prayers to all Aidan’s family. Aidan will be greatly missed.
